2017 05/19/2017: Skokie Chamber Breakfast Club
Starting an Internship Program is an excellent way for small to medium sized businesses to enhance their productivity, identify potential future employees, and give back to the community. But where do you start? What do you need to consider? And how will you find and supervise prospective interns? With nearly a decade worth of knowledge on the subject, Shannon McKenzie will walk us through the benefits of working with student interns, and show us how Oakton Community College's Internship Program can help you get started.
Shannon has served as the Internship Specialist at Oakton Community College for almost 10 years. She was also President of ILCEIA (Illinois Cooperative Education and Internship Association) from 2015-2016. Prior to Oakton, Shannon also worked at the Career Resource Center and Lake Forest College and holds a Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration from James Madison University.
Breakfast Club is presented by Slavin Farmers Insurance.
