SUMMARY:15th Annual YWomen Leadership Celebration and Gala
DESCRIPTION:YWCA Evanston/North Shore is thrilled to announce our 15th Annual YWomen Leadership Celebration and Gala is taking place on Saturday\, October 5th!\n\nA woman alone has power\, women together have impact. That's what YWomen is all about.\n\nEach year at our YWomen Leadership Celebration\, YWCA Evanston/North Shore recognizes and celebrates women leaders in our community for their commitment to women's advancement and racial justice. The films about their lives lift us up and inspire us to do just a little bit more in our own lives.\n\nJoin us this October as we commemorate YWomen's 15th 'Ruby' anniversary with special highlights and exciting surprises. This year\, YWomen will focus on the critical issue of domestic violence with a masquerade theme to honor the many faces and diverse experiences of survivors. This year's event will be an inspiring evening honoring remarkable women who play vital roles in supporting the healing and safety of survivors\, while celebrating the impactful work of YWCA Evanston/North Shore to build a safer future for generations to come.\n\n2024 Honorees Announced!\n\nThis year's honorees\, Hon. Grace G. Dickler (Ret.) and Detective Amanda Wright\, have been instrumental in the fight against domestic violence. Judge Dickler\, with over 30 years on the Cook County bench\, has led significant reforms that enhanced equity and access to justice for survivors. Detective Wright\, known for her compassionate and effective approach\, has dedicated her career to supporting survivors in Evanston\, advocating for victims\, and building a comprehensive support network. Their combined efforts have profoundly impacted the lives of countless survivors in our community.\n\nWe will also uplift and celebrate the work of YWCA Evanston/North Shore's trauma-informed\, comprehensive Domestic Violence Program\, and hear a special address from this year's Lorraine H. Morton Young Women of Promise honoree\, a standout from Evanston Township High School.\n\nLearn more about this year's honorees\, explore event details\, and purchase tickets by visiting the YWomen 2024 event website.\nQuestions?\n\nFor general YWomen event inquiries\, contact Jamie Kendrick\, Development and Events Manager\, at jkendrick@ywca-ens.org.\n\nInterested in becoming a YWomen sponsor?\n\nWant to make an even bigger impact?
