SUMMARY:2019 02/15/2019: Skokie Chamber Breakfast Club
DESCRIPTION:"Don't Stand Up Unless You Can Stand Out"\n\nThis presentation is about creating compelling taglines and the beginning of a brand identity that is a grand identity instead of an innocuous waste of words. We'll talk about messaging\, which is everything when it comes to explaining who you are\, what you do and how and why you do it better than anyone else. What is your brand promise? Can we squeeze one in your tagline? Join us for this fun and interactive session sure to start your Friday off with a bang!\n\n\n\nJim Ardito\, website content and copywriter\, has written award-winning and culture-changing taglines for 35 companies\, including the international parts giant\, W.W. Grainger ("For the ones who get it done")\, which has become the basis of their branding globally. Nationally\, he wrote the tagline for Gallagher Bassett Insurance and Racconto Foods.\n\n \n\nFor local companies\, he has changed the brand promise\, image and/or positioning for 33 companies\, including American/Northern Weathermakers who are now known as "The Sixty Minute Men\," which according to owner\, Dick Hochschild has helped transform his marketing message and business success."\n\n \n\nJim has survived (and even thrived )as an independent writer for 35 years and he's lovin' it and no he did not write the tagline for Mickey D's. Over the course of his extended (and humble) career\, Jim has written for 1\,150 clients (maybe\, 1151)\, on 3\,450 (okay 3\,451) projects\, covering 28 writing mediums (go ahead\, ask Jim to name them). The list starts with "contended content writing" "digital writing" and "tagline/positioning development\," to two eulogies written in 2018. So\, here's the question\, why can't Jim rest in peace?\n\n \n\n5 words: He lives for this stuff.\n\n\n\n\n\nBreakfast Club is Presented by Oakton Investment Management\n\n\n\nThe Skokie Chamber of Commerce & Industry's Breakfast Club is a monthly interactive networking experience involving formalized networking\, dynamic discussions\, and the sharing of expertise and knowledge. This program is moderated by master networker Rebecca Bloomfield of Jerry S. Pearlstein Insurance Ltd.
