Orchard Village is seeking a full-time School Social Worker to join our team!

Schedule : Monday - Friday : 8am-4pm

Description:

• Provide individual and small group social work services to students as determined by the IEP team.
• Develop, plan, and assist students with academic and social emotional programming in a wide range of settings.
• Liaison between parents/guardian, school officials, and community resources
• Conduct and collect data through evaluations, risk assessments, community based social skill integration, and other formative assessment

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work
• Social Work License (LSW) issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (DFPR)
• State of Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) as a school social worker (Type 73 (School Service Personnel Certificate with a Social Worker Endorsement), preferred
• Background in testing and measurement.
• Experience in counseling and crisis intervention.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience working with the social/emotional needs of children and knowledge of special education.
• Team experience including developing IEPs and coordinating services (including outside supports).
