SCORE/Skokie Chamber Member Collaboration Series

Every business owner has problems to overcome.  Often these problems are common to others, but one never knows which others or where to find them.  And small business owners have a special handicap: They can’t afford expensive consultants. So where can they find help?

This session is part of an ongoing effort by the Skokie Chamber of Commerce and SCORE to provide a resource for doing just that: allowing you to raise your more troubling problems and get suggestions from both your peers and experienced SCORE mentors!

Please come with some key problems you wish to discuss and be prepared to share your own experiences to help others. Here’s a few things that may be on your mind (though you are free to bring up any issues of concern):
1.  You have a seasonal business.  Maybe the season is Christmas or maybe summertime  –  Can you fund the lean times?
2.  Your business has grown through word of mouth referrals.  That only goes so far.  How can you get new leads?
3.  I’m working 60 hours/week, but I can’t find good help. What should I do?
4.  Can I afford to raise my pay?
 
Don’t be afraid to speak up. We aren’t aiming to lecture. We are aiming to help.
