Resources for Recruiting and Retaining Healthcare Workers - Presented by the Community Healthcare Connections Roundtable

Meet the Presenter:

Michelle McFarland is an Operations Manager with Equus Workforce Solutions, https://equusworks.com/ a comprehensive provider of workforce development services in North America. In her tenure since 2016 Michelle and a team of Business Solutions Consultants have operated, The Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership’s Healthcare Sector Center, https://chicookworks.org/. 
 

The Healthcare Sector Center promotes the workforce system’s business services by delivering recruitment and retention support through partnering with employers, training providers, workforce and community agencies. Moreover, focus is placed on working with employers to identify and create customized training plans and develop innovative work-based learning programs for current employees and new hires utilizing (WIOA) Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act business services reimbursement grants. To name a few, Sector Center has successfully matched doctors’ offices, clinics, hospital systems and dental offices with job ready candidates resulting in over 900 hires and counting.  
 
In her tenure as Operations Manager, Michelle has completed Business Solutions Certification and Next Legacy Leader programs within the Equus Workforce Solutions organization and looks forward to continuing her work informing, educating and providing business service opportunities that help employers grow and retain talent.
