Commercial Property Reassessment Info Session with Assessor Bagnall
This event has been canceled. Please contact the Niles Township Assessor at (847) 673-9300 for questions regarding Property Tax Reassessments.
Niles Township Assessor Scott Bagnall will discuss the 2016 reassessment and its potential impact on commercial properties. Cook County will use the 2016 assessed values in calculating the 2016, 2017, and 2018 property tax bills. Because of the influence of property tax bills on commercial market value, taxpayers should analyze assessed values for accuracy. And year one of the assessment period, which is right now, is the best time to check Cook County’s stated values. Bring your questions and/or your 2015 2nd Installment Tax Bills and/or your notice of proposed reassessment.
Scott Bagnall is an attorney with over twenty years experience in his Chicago Loop law practice. He is a Certified Illinois Assessing Officer and a licensed Illinois Real Estate Managing Broker. Scott also serves as Niles Township Assessor. He frequently sponsors appeal workshops and has assisted residential and commercial taxpayers and clients in numerous tax appeals and other real estate matters. As Niles Township Assessor he does not set market values, agency levies or tax rates and therefore does not have to defend values set by others and is free from bias in his ability to help the local taxpayers.
